Pre-Arrival Information
We look forward to welcoming you to Isundu Villa!
We hope you’re excited to stay in our Sea Point villa in the vibrant city of Cape Town! We’ve focused on attention to detail after having traveled the world and wanted to create a little oasis for others. Most 4* properties will have the bare minimum, but that doesn’t have to be the case and believe we are that exception. The most unique aspect is that the villa comes with a full-time manager/butler. We want to make sure we’re prepared for your stay, so would appreciate you filling out the form below:
Their role is to not only take care of the property, but also you, our guests. The butler’s presence is completely based on your wishes, but on a typical day, they’ll come in and prepare the house: Putting out the cushions if it’ll be a sunny day, cleaning the pool, wiping the main areas and cleaning up from the previous night if need be. Some days require other general villa maintenance such as trimming the grass, tending to the plants, taking out the trash, etc. If you need laundry washed, some items picked up at the store, or an errand, they’re here to assist.
We want to make sure we’re prepared for your stay, so would appreciate you filling out the form below:
Solar panels align the roof, eliminating the impact of load-shedding (forced black-outs). Due to the amount of battery constraints, the only items not connected to solar are the AC/heating units, the hot water tank/geyser and the oven. Each room has its own hard-wired wifi with two additional ones in the house for maximum connectivity and you’ll find an Alexa & firestick on each room’s TV. We do ask that when you’re not in the room to please turn off the AC/heater and lights, but don’t worry, it only takes 5-8 minutes for the room to reach your desired temperature when returning.
The lobby cabinets are filled with items for guest use both on and off property such as hammocks, yoga mats, towels, and small fitness equipment. We also have an outdoor movie projector and screen along with a DVD player for the rooms and hundreds of movies. There are voltage adapters, wifi-enabled printer and even a bin of crafting materials (with a dedicated iron) for making festival attire. Click here to view all of the items. The kitchen is a “chef’s kitchen” with a gas stove, plenty of cookware & utensils, an air fryer, Sodastream®, icemaker, ice crusher, blender, vacuum sealer and the usual handheld appliances. You’ll also find a cabinet with shared cooking/baking ingredients and spices as well as various coffees and teas. There’s enough plateware and glassware for 12 people and even a collection of reusable plasticware to take to the beach or camping. While each room has its own mini-refrigerator, you also have the large fridge in the kitchen. An Honesty Bar, which has a selection of beer & wine is available for purchase. You can view prices and make your selection by scanning the QR code on the sign or here.
For security purposes, we have an electric fence at the top of the perimeter of the front and side as well as cameras outside of the property. We also subscribe to an armed response unit which will arrive if the fence is triggered, however we also have two buttons (one in the front and one in the kitchen) that will send someone to the house. Each room has a smoke detector and we have a carbon monoxide detector in the hallway.
Our neighborhood has “quiet hours” from 10pm-7am daily (11pm on Fridays & Saturdays) and there is no smoking inside the villa (including vapes), however you’re welcome to partake outside on the property. Any violations will incur an additional cleaning fee. We actively recycle and remain cognizant of water/electricity usage due to country-wide issues.
You’ll find answers to many questions about staying here (and links to apps) on our FAQs page here. If you have any questions, please ask Naison or send us whatsapp at +27 72 684 8775!
